Dear Coding and Synchronization Working Group,

You have surely seen Andrea’s unexpected email a week ago, saying that he has been reassigned to other ESA work, and was resigning from CCSDS effective immediately. I’ve been sincerely hoping that this would turn out to be a mistake, or that whatever decisions had been made would get reversed. That hasn’t happened, so as the deputy chair, I’ll do my best to take Andrea’s place and handle the Spring Working Group meeting in Puerto Rico. Thank you, Andrea, for a job well done; we’ll miss you, and will welcome you back any time.

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in Puerto Rico about six and a half weeks from now. This is also a gentle reminder to register (https://ccsds.org/meetings/2026spring/) if you haven’t done so already.

-Ken

Dear colleagues,
Due to an upcoming re-assignment of my role in ESA, I have been asked to facilitate the transition by resigning from the role of C&S Chair, and CCSDS, with immediate effect.
I wished at to support Spring meeting 2026, to meet you a last time, but unfortunately this will not happen.

I realise this comes in the worst moment, right during Spring 2026 preparation, and may affect the working group activities.

SLS AD/DAD if you can please proceed in opening the role of Chair, for possible candidates,

All the best,
Andrea
