[Sea-sa] Note to SEA - SA, RASDS Subset

Dear team,

Great meeting this AM, so glad you have your participation.  As agreed, I’ll be posting the latest updated version of the file no later than CoB, Tuesday, 12 March.  It will contain all of the latest edits and the updated figures and will be a clean copy with all changes accepted.

Other team members have agreed to provide specific edits for the following:

  1.  Ramon: will scan the document, ensure that all of the Terms are included in Annex E, and that the correct Section numbers are referenced (many have changed during our edits).
  2.  Paul: will review the security sub-sections and provide any needed edits to topics and priority order.
  3.  Christian: will scan the document and specifically check for consistency in use of terms and “viewpoint colors” across all of the ontology diagrams, starting with figure 2-4.


  *   Due date for the three marked up documents with these changes is Monday, 25 March 2024.

Other notes from the telecon:

  1.  Agreed to add a brief intro note on relationship types and ontology to sec 3.3
  2.  Agreed to remove the current Annex D on DoDAF, it is largely OBE and we do not want to add a whole new UAF section..
  3.  Agreed to follow the normal CCSDS review and approval process, followed by the ISO “cover page” process.  That gives SC14 an ISO document number that they can reference.  They will define their use in a separate resolution.
  4.  Agreed to review two existing papers on use of RASDS concepts with MBSE formal methods.  These papers provide useful MBSE / SysML examples of using RASDS methods to document systems architectures, one from INCOSE 2016 and a second one from SpaceOps 2012.  Some of these diagrams may be included in a revised Annex B.  Please review and comment, but I will proceed to develop a new DRAFT Annex using these materials.  We will include it only if there is consensus.
