Dear CMC Members,

We have received one candidate nomination for the role of the MOIMS Deputy Area Director.

Mr. Stefan Gärtner has been nominated by DLR.

He is a senior ground segment system engineer and has been active in CCSDS/MOIMS since 2013. Specifically, he is s one of the main drivers behind the Spacecraft Monitoring & Control services set of standards. Mr. Gärtner has also been actively promoting CCSDS standards implementation and adoption through various fora including publications in high-profile conferences and journals.

Please find attached the nomination documents submitted by the DLR CMC representative.

I would kindly ask to take the opportunity of the upcoming CMC meetings to take a vote on the nomination.

The Mission Operations and Information Management Services (MOIMS) Area no longer has a Deputy Area Director.  The MOIMS wishes to request the CCSDS Member Agency Heads of Delegation to propose candidates for this position.
