Some clarifications highlighted in red
1) Technical Strategic Goals
There seems to be few discrepancies between the goals posted on
"Content"pages and the technical strategic goals indicated on "Link"pages.
Specifically, CSS and SOIS areas present 4 goals, but only 3 technical
strategic goals are indicated on the "Link" pages. Is there any reason for
this?
Good point. CSS specifies links to goal 4, but not SOIS. Raise this
comment when consolidating the CMC comments.
2) Consistency of Data (between online Strategic Plan and CWE) Do we plan
to maintain the data on the online Strategic Plan in a manner consistent
with the data on the CWE pages?
CESG intends to perform a yearly consistency check. I did the consistency
check myself (manually), and I have asked then every AD / WG Chair to
update Goals, Charters, Projects accordingly.
It should be noted that the online strategy plan is maintained by each AD,
who is doing the updates manually, There does not exist any CWE automated
population of the Plan.
In addition, the Charters and Projects are maintained and created
(normally) by the WG Chairs. This work is also done manually.
Considering our resource constraints and the error prone manual process,
CESG recommends to do this exercise once per year, with a 1 month window
for the CMC's review
3) Update Frequency
How often are we going to update the data of the Strategic Plan?
See above
Therefore, we would like to make sure which information we should use as
source data, online Strategic Plan or CWE pages, for our local website.
The highest fidelity information is:
on-line Area contents
CWE Approved Projects
WG Charters
Note:
It is suggested that any CMC agreed / consolidated comment on the CWE
(e.g. manual input of data, lack of automatic propagation of data, lack of
consistency checks between the different Views, etc) is routed to the
Secretariat and not to the CESG. We have discussed these issues with IT
support, and the feedback was "Nice suggestion, but no resources / time to
implement them"
