[CESG] SEA-R-2017-05-001 Request approval to remove the out of date SANA Leap Second (UTC Offsets) registry

Not to my knowledge. There is no identified source for the information. I think that Adrian asked that it be created when the SANA was set up, but apparently no one "owns" it.

In any event, it is out of date and has been. And it currently includes the pointer to the authoritative, normative source. Anyone who trusted this would have gotten errors. Anyone who followed the link to the authoritative source would get the right info.

My request is to remove the incorrect and potentially confusing information, but leave in place the pointer to the authoritative source. The request for this action, by-the-way, came from David Berry.

Regards, Peter

Peter,
Just for information, was that registry referenced by any CCSD Document or within another registry referenced by a CCSDS Document?

Regards

Gian Paolo

SEA-R-2017-05-001 Request approval to remove the out of date SANA Leap Second (UTC Offsets) registry
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The System Engineering Area,

CONSIDERING that:

The SANA Leap Second (UTC Offsets) registry is a non-nromative secondary registry located at http://sanaregistry.org/r/utc_offsets/utc_offsets.html, and that
The actual, normative, registry is at http://hpiers.obspm.fr/eop-pc/earthor/utc/UTC-offsets_tab.html, and that
The contents of the SANA registry are out of date and have been for some time, and that
There is no organization identified to manage this registry.

And RECOGNIZING that:

Providing overall guidance for the SANA is the responsibility of the SSG, and that
There is no other organization that claims responsibility for this registry.

RESOLVES to request:

That the Secretariat initiate the CESG and CMC polls to approve removal of the inaccurate contents of this registry and to only leave in place the reference to the normative registry.
