Peter
I am trying to be provocative, such to ignite the CESG discussions in
order to get consensus
You are focusing your proposed updates to point 4 (the "tree") and I, as
CESG Chair, am trying to instigate a wide spectrum discussion covering all
possibilities (the "forest")
e.g.
Can CESG Chairs be WG or SIG Chairs? They can today. As an example I can
be the future SEA Architecture WG Chair. Is this acceptable to everybody ?
or do we need to put some limitations in the YB ?
Can a CMC representative be CESG Chair or AD or WG or SIG Chair ? They can
today. Do we need to put some limitations in the YB ?
Can an AD or DAD be WG Chair ? They can today. Do we need to put some
limitations in the YB ?
Can a CCSDS member be Chair of several WGs ? They can today. Do we need
to put some limitations in the YB ?
Can WG chair and deputy chair of a WG belong to the same Agency ? They can
today. Do we need to put some limitations in the YB ?
Can an AD and DAD of a certain Area belong to the same Agency ? They can
today. Do we need to put some limitations in the YB ?
Can a CCSDS member be AD / DAD in several Areas ? They can today. Do we
need to put some limitations in the YB ?
Shall a WG have always a Deputy Chair ? If there is a discussion at WG
level and there is consensus that a deputy is not needed, is it ok ? Do we
need to say something about that in the YB?
and I am sure that I have forgotten some "trees" in my "forest"
I propose to address this discussion during our next webex on 21st
October, and avoid an e-mail ping-pong. There will be no conclusion and a
lot of entropy.
ciao
