Hello

I recommend that the example are stored in self standing file which can
(and shall) be directly validated against the xsd.

I don?t think it?s necessary to publish XML examples inline with the
document. If using them as test vectors for an implementation, it?s
easier and less error prone to download them separately (e.g. from CWE)
rather than try to extract them from the PDF.

One point I forgot to mention in the previous e-mail. If you look at the
SMURF you'll find that I've put in several examples of requests. Some of
these are quite large and, despite having included examples in the Simple
Schedule and CPIF book, I'm not convinced this is the correct approach.
Whilst examples are obviously necessary I am now of the opinion that we
should have then somewhere in SANA along with a Readme files outlining
what the various examples are of, rather than considerably expanding the
size of the various Recommendation by having pages of XML listings (it
also mean that if there are bugs in the examples we don't have to issue
technical corrigendum's, or suchlike, on the Recommendations to fix the
bugs)...

To be discussed at the next telecon ?

Cheers for now,

Colin

Dear all,
                I've just uploaded the following updates to CWE;
Service Management Common Data Entities Book: Updated in line with
discussions at spring meetings and subsequent telecons. Contains the new
wrapper classes and service package definitions.
SMURF Book Updated in
line with discussions at spring meetings and subsequent telecons. Uses new
wrapper classes and service package definitions in CDE.
XML Schemas: Contains the
schemas updated to be consistent with the changes to the above books.
UML Model Contains the UML model updated to be consistent with the
changes to the above books.

My apologies (especially to Marcin and Wolfgang who I know are waiting for
these) that they are somewhat later than promised.

I think that these capture all the updates resulting from the spring
meetings and subsequent telecons as well as the splinter discussions on
the SMURF prototyping test report. If I've missed anything please let me
know.

One point for discussion at the next telecon. At the last telecon
(13/07/2021) we agreed to make the srvPkgReqVersion parameter of the
ServicePkgReq class in the SMURF optional. On going through Marcins notes
from the SMURF prototyping test report I found that Marcin, Anthony and I
had discussed deleting this parameter completely. I think that this is
actually a better solution and recommend, unless someone has got a really
good reason for keeping it, that we delete the srvPkgReqVersion parameter.
