[Smwg] [EXTERNAL] possible errata in simple schedule schema?

Guys,

I do not know if you have seen this, but the attached is the update to the CCSDS SCID allocation procedures document, CCSDS 320.0-M-7.  This is intended to rectify some issues with the current doc, including coverage for USLP and corrections to the Frequency Band table, 2-1.  The table in the published doc referenced a set of “Radar band designators” from the IEEE.  This was the incorrect reference to use for our largely civilian space communications community.  The correct reference should have been the ITU Radio Regulations Articles, ITU RR 2016, Vol 1E, International Telecommunications Union, 2016.  After some long, and long overdue, review with the SLS RF&M WG the attached table is now agreed and this is what the SANA is using for SCID allocations.

My recommendation is that you use and reference this when you make any reference to SCIDs and “frequency bands”.  This revised doc in in Tom Gannett’s hands and should be submitted for approval shortly.

In working through making sure the frequencyBand parameter was correctly described in the SPDF, I noticed a possible errata in the Simple Schedule Format book’s appendix C3, which is the XML schema description.

In Table 3-8, it says a value of ‘ALL’ can be used for the frequencyBand, but this does not appear as one of the options in C3’s definition of the frequencyBandType.
