Dear Tom,

The SLP WG has reviewed the attached draft copy of USLP and has the following comments to be included in the final copy before publication as the Version 3 blue book (732.1-B-3).

  1.  In Section 2.1.2.1, extra spaces were found in front of “MAP ID” in the 3rd paragraph on p2-2
  2.  In Section 2.1.4, in the 1st paragraph, extra spaces found before “ The definition …”
  3.  In Section 2.2.2, in the 1st paragraph, extra spaces found around the word, “ID”
  4.  In 2.2.4.3, in the 1st paragraph, extra spaces before the word, “PVNs”
  5.  In 3.2.1, Replace the word, “and” with the word, “or” i.e., MAP Packet or VC Packet
  6.  3.3.2.9.3, in the NOTE, extra spaces found in the NOTE around the words, “Processing of USLP frames…”
  7.  3.6.3.7.3, Extra spaces found before the words, “processing of frames”
  8.  4.3.11.2 NOTE 2 – Allow the sentence  to be singular or plural i.e., “The TC Synchronization and Coding Sublayer encodes the Transfer Frame(s) to protect it/them from …”
  9.  6.3.1, missing the reference to table 6-3 :  “so a managed parameter defined in either table 6-2 (VC) or table 6-3 (MAP) of 6.6 indicates …”
  10. 6.4.1, In the 2nd paragraph, “(one VC or MAP or more than one VC or MAP per SA)”
  11. 6.4.1, In the 3nd paragraph, “just one VC or MAP each are present…may not be the same for all VCs(or MAPs).”

Hi Tom,

Attached are the 7 ESA (in one Word file) and the 7 NASA (each in its own text file) RID resolutions completed by the SLP WG during the Fall 2023 CCSDS meetings at the Hague.
I have notified all RID authors of these resolutions both on the NASA and ESA sides.
The SLP WG requests that the secretariat make the changes documented in the RID resolutions. Many of the RIDs are editorial in nature.
Please let me know if you have any questions as you make modifications to CCSDS 732.1-B.
