Dear Brandon,

While discussing the « interoperability testing through cloud computing services » topic in the CESG today, Martin Suess (ESA) indicated that, confronted to the same pb for SpaceWire interopearbility testing, they devised a scheme enabling to circumvent firewall filtering pb. This scheme , called "spacewire internet tunnel server", is described in section 4 of the attached paper. This server is setup on an external machine and act as a relaying server for the bidirectional traffic. Is this of any value for the analysis you are performing to solve the interoperability pb over the internet.

Dear Gilles,

please find below a paper about the SpaceWire Internet Tunnel which we developed some years ago to allow remote integration.
The paper describes as well the firewall problem and the way it was solved by setting up a dedicated server to allow connection from several clients.
A similar approach might be also applicable for inter-operation testing.
