Dear All,

even though the deadline for inputs has not expired yet, I am predicting a
significant number of them including DDOR and C&S shared papers. Given the
time zone differences among the main WG contributors, I will probably
organize webex sessions only from 13:00 to 17:00 CEST (= CET summer time =
GMT +2).
In order to process all inputs at the necessary speed, I would propose
that we deal with

SLS-RFM_21-01 Proposed update to CCSDS 414.1-B-2
SLS-RFM_21-05 Proposed update to CCSDS 413.1-G-1

by correspondence.

SLS-RFM_21-01 was submitted to the RFM WG on February 3 and proposes one
simple addition to this BB. I have received already some endorsements.

SLS-RFM_21-05 was submitted to the RFM WG on March 5 with the note "Should
you have additional comments or change requests also for other parts of
the green book, please send your input at least 2 weeks before the current
official start date of the meeting."
The changes to this GB are many and from multiple reviewers but are just
corrections of wrongly inserted data, clarification of used convention and
text improvements, no new material being proposed.

I would therefore ask you to submit any comments you may have to these two
inputs by May 10. Should I not receive any negative feedback or request
for additional changes, I will assume RFM WG concurrence with the two
proposals.

Best Regards,

Enrico

list - CESG input - decision

Dear All,

I have received no indication of problems with the May 25-28 week
proposal. On the contrary, some of you have expressed problems with the
May 10-14 week.

Therefore, the RFM WG Spring 2021 meeting will be held remotely on May
25-28. I understand that the DDOR WG would prefer to discuss their input
on May 26 (or 25). I ony have a no-go indication by another RFM colleague
for May 28.
As soon as I have the final list of input papers, I will propose a
detailed agenda for these days including the joint meeting with the C&S
WG. We may even decide to go for a mix of remote sessions and
correspondence.
At that time I will have to ask you for an "informal" registration with me
so that I can add your names to the Webex links. Please do not do that
until I send you the request.

In light of the new meeting dates, I am pleased to relax the mandatory
deadlines for inputs as follows:

April 26 All papers have to be announced by then
May 10 All papers have to be submitted by then

Please do not forget these deadlines.

I have been requested by CESG to solicit the WG to submit inputs on high
rate uplinks and inter-satellite links as a matter of priority. Please
consider these items that are in the RFM WG charter.

Take care and enjoy the upcoming holiday period,

Enrico

Dear RFM WG participants,

as you have been informed, the meeting will be held remotely. It seems
that the week May 10-14 has not been changed by CCSDS management but
further instructions about dates flexibility are still being awaited.

I would like to let you know that due to a number of European meetings in
May, I may have difficulties with the identified week. The best time for
me would be the week May 25-28 (May 24 is a bank holiday in Germany.)

Of course, this depends on your availability as well as on the
availability of C&S WG (we typically have 2-3 papers for joint discussion)
and of DDOR WG (only one item of common interest.)

Could you just let me know if May 25-28 is problematic for some of you?

I would be pleased if chairs/co-chairs of C&S WG and DDOR WG could also
reply to this question, limited to the few items of common interest.

The current list of announced inputs is attached. Please remember the
4-weeks deadline for announcing inputs. With the nominal week, the
deadline is April 11.

Best Regards, Enrico
