Gian Paolo,
no, my proposed amendment reads differently (see section 1,1 of the SCCC
BB):
However, this Recommended Standard may be also adopted for other high data
rate applications (either space-to-ground, ground-to-space, and
space-to-space) and services (e.g., the Space Research service), as long
as compliance to CCSDS recommendations for Radio Frequency modulations in
[4] is ensured.
Sorry for not being clear,
Enrico

Subject: Alignment to 401.0-B for DVB-S2X and SCCC-X orange books
and for pink sheets to SCCC and DVB-S2
Thank you, Enrico.
Gilles and I are still performing the last check before issuing the
relevant Area Resolution.
CESG and CMC poll will then start later also depenging on Tom's queue.
The DVB-S2X sentence you refer to is in section 1.2 PURPOSE (see snapshot)
and you propose to amend it according to a sentence we have in the SCCC
(proposed) pink sheets section 2.1 ARCHITECTURE (see second snapshot)
Before a final conclusion is reached I want to remark that
1) the pink sheets for DVB-S2 (
https://public.ccsds.org/Lists/CCSDS%201313P11/131x3p11.pdf ) misses a
similar statement
2) the published of SCCCX ( https://public.ccsds.org/Pubs/131x21o1.pdf )
also misses any reference to 401.0-B and theferore also a similar
statement
Having said this, I have the following questions (to everybody):
a) should a RID to DVB-S2 pink sheets request a statement similar to the
one in SCCC (proposed) pink sheets to refer to 401.0-B?
b) should DVB-S2X add a statement similar to the one in SCCC (proposed)
pink sheets to refer to 401.0-B?
c) should SCCC-X add [e.g. via Editorial Corrigendum] a statement similar
to the one in SCCC (proposed) pink sheets to refer to 401.0-B?
Thank you all for any opinion (and sorry for increasing the entropy :o)
Gian Paolo
PS Since SCCC-X is now published at
https://public.ccsds.org/Pubs/131x21o1.pdf , I also updated the strategic
plan for this.
Andrea, Ken, can you please check the strategic plan at
https://cwe.ccsds.org/fm/sp/Lists/SLSLinks/AllItems.aspx ?

Subject: Re: [SLS-CC] Spring 2021 resolutions concerning CCSDS
13.2-B, 131.0-B, and 131.6-O
Dear Andrea,
concerning the DVB-S2X OB, I noted that there is a sentence going like
and to recommend options of the DVB-S2(X) standard suited to high data
rate transmission applications, such as Earth Exploration Satellite
Services (EESS) payload telemetry, ground-to-space and space-to-space
applications (Space Research Services SRS, inter-satellite links
I think it should be amended by the text you proposed for the SCCC liberal
approach "....providing it is in line with 401" or similar.
I leave this up to you to get the agreement by CNES before resubmission
otherwise I would have to send my comment via the ESA representative at
CMC (or CESG, depending on the path for this book).
Sorry for being late but this book was not presented again as logical and
I did not remember this sentence,
Enrico

Subject: [SLS-CC] Spring 2021 resolutions concerning CCSDS 13.2-B,
131.0-B, and 131.6-O
Dear all,
by means of this email I formalise the C&S WG resolutions that we had
during Spring meeting 2021.
Namely:
-Start agency review of CCSDS 131.2 in attachment (agreed with RFM WG
during joint meeting)
-Start agency review of CCSDS 131.0 as provided in the email sent by Ken
Andrews to the WG on 28-05-21 22:06 (CEST)
-To resubmit 131.6-O-1 (in attachment) as is for publication (in view of
the Record of consensus and implementation of the liberal approach).
I kindly ask SLS AD to raise the related Area resolutions.
Kind Regards
