We had a very productive two days worth of meetings.

I want to again thank our GRC colleagues, and MSFC’s Josh Deaton, for getting up in the middle of their night to participate. Very much appreciated.

Below are some notes along with actions (in red):

Tuesday:

GRC provided presentations on their implementation of streaming RTP over DTN, including reasons for and key deviations from the Blue Book draft implementation.

Action, GRC, please upload your presentation materials to the CWE, https://cwe.ccsds.org/sis/docs/Forms/AllItems.aspx?RootFolder=%2Fsis%2Fdocs%2FSIS%2DMIA%2FMeeting%20Materials%2F2023%2FFall&FolderCTID=0x012000050F193BA5186E4497F14E97DBA90814&View=%7B679CC4EC%2D20EF%2D4AB6%2D9FF7%2DD851E088D6B8%7D
If that link doesn’t take you there, please go to https://cwe.ccsds.org/default.aspx click on MIA (under SIS Area), then on the left, click documents, then SIS MIA, then meeting materials, then 2023, then Fall.

We then reviewed Josh’s red-lined version of the Blue Book with edits related to GRC implementation. We began a review of that content, which we did not complete.

Action, DLR/Jeremy, is to complete the review of Josh’s red-line version by early December.

Action, MSFC/Josh, please upload the red-line version to the same meeting materials location referenced above.

Wednesday:

An all-day review of the Green Book draft was conducted. The draft includes follow-up actions and content creation actionees.

I have created a folder for Video Quality Assessment Green Book drafts in the CWE. Similar to above. Documents>SIS-MIA>Draft Documents>Video Quality Assessment Green Book. Direct link here, https://cwe.ccsds.org/sis/docs/Forms/AllItems.aspx?RootFolder=%2Fsis%2Fdocs%2FSIS%2DMIA%2FDraft%20Documents%2FVideo%20Quality%20Assessment%20Green%20Book&FolderCTID=0x012000050F193BA5186E4497F14E97DBA90814&View=%7B679CC4EC%2D20EF%2D4AB6%2D9FF7%2DD851E088D6B8%7D

Action, MSFC/Walt/Jennifer, make sure Walt has the final draft that was being edited during the session with all changes. Please upload previous draft and latest draft to folder referenced above.

Planning Forward:

RTP Book: DLR/Jeremy will complete review of Josh’s redline version by early December. The plan then will be for DLR and MSFC to update their implementations to match that Blue Book draft and conduct additional testing (to be documented in an updated Yellow Book). Goal is to complete that updated testing as early in 2024 as possible. Then we will re-distribute the Red Book for formal Agency Review, hopefully by Spring 2024.

Note: If significant portions of the red-line version (from Josh, incorporating key GRC implementation changes) is not incorporated in the RTP over DTN Blue Book, GRC and MIA can discuss creating a new project to produce and publish an Orange Book with that implementation.

Video Quality Assessment Book: Goal is to distribute an updated version with Fall Meeting edits/additions by January 2024. Additional editing will continue through the Spring with the goal being to produce a final draft ready for publication by the end of Spring Meetings in USA/Washington DC.

Please replay all with any adds/deletes/edits from above.
