Bob,

 

1)       Your chairs and deputies have been notified.  They have been
asked to provide us the names and e-mails of the members of their WGs by
January 15th.  No action is required from you.

2)       Yes, off the CWE home page click on the "SIS" Tab, then click
on the name of your Area "Space Internetworking Services Area".  This
will open the site that only the Area Director (you), Area Deputy, WG
and BOF Chairs and Deputies (for SIS) can access.  This site is
currently already setup with all of those permissions.

 

If you or any of your chairs have anymore questions, then please contact
me.  Out goal is to have a high adoption rate on the CWE.

Thanks.  I'll get back to you on whether this retires the action after
I've had time to interact with the system some.  I have a couple of
questions:

1)  Have my chairs been notified?  I'm presuming so, since "there is no
action required" on my part.

2)  Is there an area in which the SIS Area Director (me) can collaborate
with his WG and BOF chairs?

As you may know, over the past few months, we have collected suggestions
from you and other active members within the CCSDS about how we might
continue to improve the online tools currently available to CCSDS
Working Groups.  Much of the comments received involved the need for a
better way to collaborate and communicate within each group; thus, we
investigated the available options, solicited more suggestions, and
decided that the best course of action we could take to enhance and
promote collaboration within each group would be to develop an entirely
new online tool.

 

Based on your feedback, we are happy to present you with a CCSDS
Collaborative Work Environment (CWE), customized for your group.  Each
CWE will give you and members of your group access to the following
functionality:

 

*	Public and Private Areas and Document Libraries
*	Discussions
*	Calendar
*	Links webpart
*	Contact Information
*	Direct links to Mailman and DocuShare
*	Help Desk 
*	Advanced and Site Specific Search Capabilities

 

As Area Director of Space Internetworking Services Area (SIS) there is
no action required on your part.  Chairs will decide who has access to
the CWE. Chairs will provide us a list of names and e-mail addresses for
each of your group's members by January 15th.  We will then set up
logins for those members, who will then receive an e-mail like this one,
welcoming them to the group's CWE and providing them with login
information.

 

You may access the CWE area directly from the CCSDS homepage or at
http://public.ccsds.org/sites/cwe/default.aspx
<http://public.ccsds.org/sites/cwe/default.aspx>  .  Once you are there,
you will find further instructions on how to locate your group's CWE.
In addition, you will need the following information:

 

CWE Login Information

Username: robert.durst (case sensitive) 

Password: bhoR#17(case sensitive)

 

Training / Help Information

The CCSDS CWE Training guide can be accessed from the new CCSDS Help
site located at http://public.ccsds.org/sites/cwe/help/default.aspx
<http://public.ccsds.org/sites/cwe/help/default.aspx>  .  If you require
technical assistance, please submit a help desk incident for support.
Please note that work is currently being completed on the Advanced
Search function and changes to the Overview and Charters may occur as we
receive updated information.
