Hi Bob, all,
We have been just informed that Tom he is not any longer serving as Technical editor, implying that overall publication process will by longer that what was before (which was already long enough). I’ve seen yesterday that the new draft has been already sent to Ignacio to verify that his conditions are now met, so that hopefully during next week we can close the process. Then the question is whether there is still urgency to get the book published quickly. If so, I’ll signal it to Tim and Sami (they know it but better to remind them).
In any case you may want to inform the Lunar programme stakeholders, who pushed us to go for an orange book for a quick publication path, that the publication may take longer than expected, I fear not earlier than April.

Subject: [CESG] Technical Editor
Hello CESG team,
Just want to pass on this unexpected news for your planning purpose.
Tom Gannett is no longer serving as the Technical Editor. So, there will be expected delay with the publication of the books currently in the queue. The NASA team is looking for Tom’s replacement, but it may take several weeks. Possible interim support is also being explored. If there are external-dependent deadlines associated with the publication of the books in your area, please let us (and Sami) know and we’ll try to focus on those first.
Please extend the information to the WG chairs & deputies in your Work Area.
Best regards,
Tim
