Looks good, Fred.
I took the liberty to create, just now, the attached diagram attempting to convey some of what's in the PPT speaker notes for the bottom figure of slide 17. Thoughts are welcome.

Let's go with the 17th.
Attached is my talking presentation for Solar Arrays with Kei. Also attached is a draft of a tutorial for SC14 people on how to use a reference architecture. I call it something else. I used the exemplar method from the tutorial in talking with Kei. That seemed to work for him. These are rather loose on discipline but successfully got us to start discussing "how" to implement instead of if this is needed at all.
You'll note that a tutorial on how to use a reference architecture for space does not target architects or modelers. It targets people who need use, not create or maintain, the framework for some purpose. In SC14 I plan to "use" the RAS(DS++) for two purposes. 1) talk with the member countries about what is in scope for SC14 work planning (what standards do we need for HSF, OOS, Small Sats, Supp;y Chain, etc.). This will be a very top level multi-year discussion. 2) Talk with the working group Convenors about how assignments to the WGs cover the waterfront; when they can act quasi-independently and when they need to collaborate (internally to SC14 or externally). This latter part is where we will need to get into some detail on viewpoint objects and correspondences.
Cheers,

Hi Fred,
I’m on vacation from 26 June through 16 July.
If you guys want to meet on 10 July and make progress on the RASDS draft I think that would be great. Or you may want to skip it and wait a month (or reschedule for a week later, July 17). I’m good with any of those outcomes, but would hate to lose what momentum we have.
What’s your pleasure? Please LMK what you want to do by CoB, Wednesday, 21 June.
As a reminder, my notes from our last meeting, on 12 June, say:
- Fred: Produce a new mapping of RASDS to Kei’s Solar Array example. Model OV-1 and then successive views for different viewpoints (or some other approach …)
- All: Feedback in a week (like now) on the mapping of RASDS to the Security Architecture
- All: Review your assigned sections. Provide feedback: an evaluation of whether your materials are solid enough to start writing, an estimate of when you can have draft of your sections ready to review. Due the end of this week.
- Peter: send Security Arch, in current form, to the CCSDS Sec WG and ask for feedback.
Thanks, Peter
