Also attached is a draft of a tutorial for SC14 people on how to use a reference architecture. I call it something else. I used the exemplar method from the tutorial in talking with Kei. That seemed to work for him. These are rather loose on discipline but successfully got us to start discussing "how" to implement instead of if this is needed at all.</div><div><br></div><div>You'll note that a tutorial on how to use a reference architecture for space does not target architects or modelers. It targets people who need <u>use</u>, not create or maintain, the framework for some purpose. In SC14 I plan to "use" the RAS(DS++) for two purposes. 1) talk with the member countries about what is in scope for SC14 work planning (what standards do we need for HSF, OOS, Small Sats, Supp;y Chain, etc.). This will be a very top level multi-year discussion. 2) Talk with the working group Convenors about how assignments to the WGs cover the waterfront; when they can act quasi-independently and when they need to collaborate (internally to SC14 or externally).
