[Sea-sa] Status of discussion re SOIS / MOIMS Yellow Book and joint meeting

Dear Mario and Jonathan,

There are two topics that we need to discuss:


  1.  The status of your negotiations on the SOIS / MOIMS Yellow Book, CCSDS 870x10y1, my latest version is attached along with the set of diagrams
  2.  The need for a joint SEA SAWG, MOIMS, SOIS meeting during the week of working meetings

On the first topic, last I knew you two were negotiating what the possible agreed configurations might be for SOIS and MOIMS "intersection".  We had three "cases" in mind a deployment options, identifying different levels of integration.  I understand that you two were negotiating something, but I have not heard anything other than rumors about where you are in those discussions.  Publication of this YB has now been held up for one year since the original discussions were started.  This is a rather lengthy delay.  When can we except to have something that we can move ahead with?

On the second topic, the SEA SAWG now has a rather complete version of the Application and Support Layer (ASL) Green Book.  We think it is time to have another joint meeting with the SOIS and MOIMS teams to make sure that we are all on the same page with regards approach, structure, presentation, and contents.  Is there a time during the week of working meetings when we can have a joint meeting?  I know that it is one of these "short meeting week" situations, but I think making sure that we have consensus is important.  Please let me know what will work.

The SAWG is meeting Wed PM and Thurs AM.  I can make other times work.  Tuesday AM seems to be an easy slot for me to accommodate a joint meeting.
