The answer from Tom Gannett, CCSDS CTE. We can deliver him the document, plus the source files for graphics, in the current form.
Cheers, Peter

Peter:
It’s just as easy—possibly easier—for me to work with what you currently have. (Giving people “templates” to work with was Mike Kearney’s idea, not mine.)

Subject: A CTE question for you
Hi Tom,
This is one of those, "you may want to kill the messenger" instances. The SEA SAWG has been hacking on the attached document for a while now. It is now settling down to where we will probably be ready to send you the GB draft after the fall meetings. There are still some content issues that we are working, but it is getting down to the short strokes.
Or not…
Here is the question for you: If we deliver the draft document to you, in more or less the current form, plus raw source files for figures, would you find that acceptable?
Or…
Would you really prefer that we hack the text into the standard CCSDS GB template before sending it to you?
We have included all of the required sections, in the required order, with what we think is suitable content, but we have not used the template nor pasted in the requisite boiler plate. At least I think we have gotten the Engrish right, but YMMV. As I understand it you will most often go through a process of editing any submissions in order to fit your template, numbering, macro, etc conventions anyhow. If that is a correct assumption is it just as easy (or as painful, this is a 233 page document after all) for us to toss this your way as it is and let you have at it?
Feel free to tell us to sod off, or whatever other colorful colloquialisms come to mind.
Thanks, Peter
