* Discuss any open items - all
Attendees: Stangl, Bergamini, Krosley, Thompson, Huang, Lyu, Shames
Briefly discuss status of SOIS / MOIMS Yellow Book recommendations – Peter Shames
* Briefly reviewed SOIS Yellow Book, CCSDS 870.10-Y-0, titled " CCSDS 870.10-Y-0, titled MO Services and SOIS Electronic Datasheets (attached).
* Reviewed the original MOIMS inputs from Merri and Sarkarati, their transposition into a spreadsheet (attached) and the results of a couple of rounds of email discussions.
* The remaining items that are marked in tan in column "I" still require some resolution. If any of you have feedback on this please provide it no later than 11 Dec 2018.
* There remain some terminology issues that are getting sorted out with Richard Melvin. He has produced a very useful revision to Fig 2-2, Terminology (latest available version attached). Some minor issues remain.
* We do not yet have any inputs from Sam Cooper, but he, and we, expect Roger Thompson to provide the MOIMS perspective for now.
Review SOIS section updates – Ramon Krosley
* Reviewed, at length, the issues that Ray identified and discussed proposed changes.
* Many of the revisions appear to be fine as they are, specifically: fig 4-12, 5-9, 5-10, 5-19, Sec 6.3 table format
* Some revisions needed minor further edits …
* Fig 4-14 (and text) clarify distinction between management and run-time, boot-time, or compile time configuration
* Fig 5-8 add deployment description as future work that is under discussion and mark maturity levels in the same way as shown in sec 3.3.1 figure 3-2. Treat EDS and DoT as "published" because they will be by the time that this document is released.
* Fig 5-14, use the term "interface" as in fig 4-12.
* Fig 5-15, no issue with figure by clarify use of ontology and XML schema, add AIAA reference for AFRL work, and put in a pointer to the SANA to cover OWL and XML source files and method for updating them that should be described there.
* Fig 7-19 (and others), replace "Packet Router" protocol element with "Packet Forwarding" function. There is no defined protocol in SPP for "packet routing", it's a fiction that is in the process of being remedied.
* Fig 7-20 (and others), the two items on the right are really both part of "spacecraft" which should be a surrounding object that they appear in. In addition, the protocol stacks have some significant peculiarities that need to be sorted out. Shames & Krosley to discuss off-line.
* Fig 7-22, needs the same sorts of fixes as suggested for fig 7-20.
Review MOIMS section updates – Roger Thompson
* Reviewed the changes that Roger made to his sections
* Fig 5-2 is OK as shown
* Fig 4-7, MPS changes during the recent working meeting caused some significant re-work to this figure and others. There may be no way to avoid this given that MPS is still in flux vis-a-vis functional allocations and what it means by "services".
* Fig 7-14, in the "MAL Bridge" element show the MAL layer as two separate protocol layers since the intent is that these can involve two different technology bindings and implementations.
* Other figures and issues seem to be in pretty good shape.
Work Plan

* MOIMS sections, Thompson, primary document editor for 17-21 Dec 18
