Erik,
Thank you for sending the CSSM proposal for DDOR service management. We may be converging. I have added my comments to your spreadsheet in red and I am returning that to you. My comments should help clear up the questions about interpretation that are apparent in the PowerPoint presentation. Also, I am attaching the latest version of the DDOR Operations MB. This is not published yet, but just about to start the review cycle. The Service Request is defined in Section 6.2 and there are four examples in Annex B. The parameters have not changed at all from the version that you studied, but we have improved the documentation. Let me know if you want any more examples.
One comment/question. Your spreadsheet indicates that items 6 and 13 would come from SANA. I think what you mean is that these items as presented in the Event Sequence should be consistent with values from SANA. Different quasars would be used for DDOR depending on where the spacecraft is in the sky. SANA does not know about this. A person (DDOR Coordinator) or a program (highly capable new SPS program?) needs to provide this value, that is to select the quasar(s) to observe.
Looking forward to discussing this further.
Best Regards,
Jim

Subject: Follow up from CSSM/DDOR joint meeting
Mattia, Jim,
To follow up from the joint meeting last month, I recall that I took an action to send you the spreadsheet we walked through and the presentation, both on the mapping from DDOR service request to CSSM (Cross Support Service Management). Those are attached. A couple of notes: 1) I do recall having taking some notes directly on the spreadsheet but must have had some sort of computer issue because I could not find the updated spreadsheet. I've done my best to recall the discussion but there are some questions in the spreadsheet. My recollection and the questions are in the column with the blue font. The PowerPoint presentation is a preliminary mapping that will be subject to change as we further define our request format so I would just treat this as for information for the time being. My notes show that we agreed to the DDOR WG providing a more complicated example of a DDOR service request than that which was discussed at the joint meeting. Also, we agreed to have further discussions at the upcoming spring meetings which will include more inputs from the service management working group based on the more complicated example etc. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any comments or questions etc.
Best regards,
-Erik
