There will be a technical splinter workshop of the MOIMS IPR Working Group
focusing on the development of
interoperable software Implementations of the XML Packaging Struicture
and Construction Rules.
This workshop will be held at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in the UK on
the 20-22 October 2003.
This workshop does not replace the IPR WG workshop scheduled for 29-30
September 2003 in the
MOIMS area meeting.
The topic covered in this workshop will include:
-Resolution of any remaining technical issues on the XML Packaging
Recommendation
-Demonstration of any current Agency prototypes/implementations of XML
Packaging
-Development of a high level architecture for XFDU packaging prototyping
and testing
-Begin development of an "Interoperability Profile" of XFDU
Recommendations
-Begin development of a set of "Implementor's Agreement"
-Design of an XFDU implementors website
This workshop is intended to be oriented towards the implementors with much
of the time devoted to
developing agreements that will initiate successful intraagency and
interagency prototyping of the
XFDU Packaging Recommendation.
This workshop is open to all interested CCSDS experts and their invitees.
However, it may be limited
to about 15 attendee due to space restrictions. In the case of
over-subscription preference will be given to MOIMS IPR members.
There will be a registration form and logistics information for this
meeting on the CCSDS website
within a week. However, please email me at lreich at csc.om if you plan to
attend.
