Minutes 2026-03

Spring Meeting

Everyone agrees to have a remote meeting.
@Olivier: Check with Costin and Mehran if a room is needed or not.



We'll have a joint meeting with MPS. Their main goals are:

*         to have documentation around the ESA MO framework to be able to maintain their prototypes;

*         to have a simplified way to start a new MO project with the ESA MO stack.



A startup company contacted Mario Merri, because they use MO for interoperability (implementation of MOv1) and they would be interested in joining the SM&C WG. Mario transmitted to ESA.

The WG agrees to invite them to discuss with us during the Spring meeting, if ESA can sponsor them.



Space packet protocol BB

Other topics were prioritized for Stefan

=> New Goal: circulate a draft before the Spring meeting



Magenta Book

Submitted for AR, it's in the queue.



Note: The queue seems to become an issue as books are stacked there and don't seem to get processed.

@Stefan: Discuss it in the CESG meeting.



Green book

Received only minor comments until now. Please find time to read it before the Spring meeting.



M&C Prototype

ESA is making good progress; services are being implemented: Packet and Alert are OK, they are now moving to Action.

There are discussions on the understanding of the book, raising some RIDS. Nothing substantial until now.
