[Moims-sc] MOSSG preliminary priorities for SM&C

Dear all,

please find enclosed an "intense" presentation by the MOSSG that will be 
the heart of the discussion during the CCSDS meeting on Monday PM. Please 
give a look at this presentation before the WebEx today as we should 
devise our approach to respond to that. All in all, I do appreciate the 
effort put by the MOSSG, which will certainly help us to focus our work.

Mario:  As you know, the MOSSG was asked to provide the CCSDS SM&C WG with 
preliminary priorities in October, to allow SM&C to use them for work 
planning during the upcoming CCSDS Technical Plenary meeting in November 
in London. 
 
Attached is the PPT file that provides and explains those preliminary 
priorities. 
 
Note that these have not been reviewed or iterated by the IOAG.  I will 
send to the IOAG a summary note explaining the priorities, and we will 
report to them at their next telecon.  The IOAG Chair (Michael Schmidt) 
agreed to this approach. 
 
Also note the emphasis on ?preliminary?.  The presentation has a full 
discussion about the risks of changes that may be in final priorities. 
 
At the joint MOSSG/SM&C meeting  in London on Monday Nov 10, I would guess 
we have the following agenda:
(1)    MOSSG presents the attached charts
(2)    MOSSG responds to SM&C WG questions on the charts
(3)    MOSSG asks a few additional questions. 
 
Does that look OK? 
 
We hope this helps with the CCSDS request for IOAG priorities.  I believe 
you requested those from the IOAG in Sept 2009 in Rome, right? 
 
We look forward to a good and engaging discussion with your team on Nov 
10.
