[Moims-sc] [Moims-mp] CCSDS MP BOF Drafts of Charter and White Paper

Dear All,

As discussed during the telecon today, please find attached drafts of
the MP Charter and White Paper.

The intention is to update (or agree updates of) both in the context of
the BOF next week.

The White Paper was produced in 2012 as an output of the two "call for
interest" sessions - clearly it will need to be updated to reflect
current thinking.

It is clear from the discussions today that we need to emphasise in both
that the focus is on the definition of the exchange of mission planning
information to support standard interfaces between systems involved in
Mission Planning.  To do this we need to engage Mission Planning
specialists - the casting of services in terms of CCSDS MO (or other
appropriate technologies) would be an ultimate goal of the Working
Group, but the initial focus should be on capturing the common Mission
Planning interactions irrespective of service framework.  To this end
SysML or UML use cases, activity and sequence diagrams may be most
appropriate.
