Mario/Brigitte:

Per your request, here is the "simple report" on Nav WG projects in progress as of our 15-May-2020 telecon. We had 4 telecons this week, constituting the Navigation WG Spring 2020 Meetings. I'll be sending you the "official" report on Monday 18-May-2020.

500.2 Navigation Data Messages Overview - Green Book: Published this week 14-May-2020. Hooray!

502.0 Orbit Data Message (ODM): Version 3 updates are in progress. Pink Book version P2.39 internal review draft is complete. The ODM was our principal topic of discussion in the virtual Spring Meetings. Updates to CCSDS Normative Annexes in the SANA Registries referenced by the ODM remain deprioritized for the short term, but were a sub-topic of discussion in our virtual Spring Meetings.

503.0 Tracking Data Message (TDM): The CESG "approval to publish" poll ended yesterday 14-May-2020 with a single condition that should be relatively easy to satisfy. We hope to be in the CMC "approval to publish" poll soon. The TDM was not on our agenda for the Spring Meetings.

504.0 Attitude Data Messages (ADM): Version 2 updates are in progress. A version P1.9 draft was distributed to the WG on 21-Apr-2020 and discussed during our virtual Spring Meetings. Based on the discussions, we will not internally review P1.9; a P1.10 will be distributed shortly and that will be internally reviewed. The P1.10 will contain resolution of several outstanding questions raised by the Lead Editor with respect to P1.9, so it did not make sense to review P1.9 since it had not yet seriously started.

505.0 Navigation Data Messages XML Specification (NDM/XML): This was a topic of discussion in our virtual Spring Meetings. Based on an assessment of progress, this document is relatively mature and it should be progressing soon (Lead Editor budget permitting).

507.0 Navigation Events Message (NEM): Distribution of the first NEM White Book continues to be delayed. The NEM has the same Lead Editor as the ADM Version 2 update, which has higher priority. This document was not on our agenda for the Spring Meetings.

508.0 Conjunction Data Message (CDM): A first Pink Book draft P1.0.1 is anticipated in the not too distant future; production has been slightly delayed by the necessity for the Lead Editor to deal with COVID-19 priorities in his firm. Some discussions have been held recently with individuals working on current CDM production. This document was not on our agenda for the Spring Meetings.

509.0 Pointing Request Message (PRM): A set of Corrigenda has been prepared and is in internal review before submitting to the MOIMS Area Director. However the Lead Editor for this standard has accepted a new position and has left the group (member since 2004). Thus there will be some delay in finalizing the Corrigendum.

Recently published standards/other documents with no action necessary: 500.0 Navigation Data - Definitions and Conventions Green Book, 508.1 Re-Entry Data Message (RDM).

Regards,
David
