Subject: [EXTERNAL] [CCSDS-All] Spring 2019 CCSDS Technical Meeting Information

Dear Spring 2019 CCSDS Technical Meeting Attendees,

With the spring 2019 CCSDS Technical Meetings right around the corner, here is additional information about the meetings and area that has been requested. All locations mentioned in this message can be found on a map at https://drive.google.com/open?id=1dsOVXcoHkMGuig3BaEeoJTejgz4Fk3ZJ&usp=sharing. Additional information can also be found at https://public.ccsds.org/meetings/2019Spring/default.aspx.

There are two gates for the NASA Research Park, the Main Gate on Moffett Blvd and the South Gate on Ellis St. You may arrive at either gate. All attendees will need to show photo identification. US Citizens will need to show REAL ID Act compliant photo identification; NASA badges are acceptable. Non US citizens will need to present their passport. There will be temporary signs posted with directions to Buildings 3 and 152. On the first day of the meetings you are attending, please proceed to Building 152 to check in with the Secretariat. The Secretariat will provide a name tag, guest Wi-Fi account credentials, and local information. Most meetings will be held in Building 152 with additional meetings in Building 3. The Mission Planning and Scheduling Working Group will meet at the Quality Inn & Suites at NASA Ames, just across the Bayshore Highway. The addresses of these locations are:

Building 152
200 Bailey Rd
Mountain View, CA 94043

Building 3
500 Severyns Av
Moffett Field, CA 94035

Quality Inn & Suites at NASA Ames
5 Fairchild Dr
Mountain View, CA 94043

Specific parking for each meeting location is noted in the map linked to in this email. The opening Plenary of the Technical Meetings will begin at 08:45 on Monday morning and will be followed by Area Plenaries and Working Group Meetings. Please consider arriving early to sign in and collect area information.

Coffee is available at two locations in the NASA Research Park, the SpaceBar, located in Building 3, and Moon Mart, a convenience store, near the parking for Building 152. The suggested break for Lunch is 12:30-13:30, but working groups may choose to break at different times. There is only one restaurant in the NASA Research Park, The SpaceBar. There are many restaurants in the area some of which are marked on the map linked to in this email.

Information about Mountain View can be found at the city’s website at https://www.mountainview.gov/visitors/. As always, Dress for the Technical Plenary meeting is Business Casual and the weather should be quiet pleasant with daily high temperatures between 20 and 26C. On behalf of the Secretariat, we look forward to seeing all of you next week.

Best regards,

Michael Blackwood
