There have been some questions about the agenda item on today's telecon related to this topic. Here are the documents in question, sent by Dan Oltrogge.

See attached...  These are new standards development initiatives being undertaken within the EU (under ECSS) for:



  1.  Space Situational Awareness Monitoring - Observation System Data Message (OSDM)
  2.  Space Situational Awareness Monitoring - Scheduling and Commanding Message (SCM)



The British delegation has already discussed with me their interest in evolving these ECSS standards into the international level (within CCSDS).



I’m interested in hearing from you if you feel such messages would be worthwhile pursuing at the international consensus level as standards.

Hi Dan,



I mentioned that CEN was working on a couple of NWIPs for SSA related standards and said I’d let you have sight of them.  Copies are attached.



UK is likely to approve these NWIPs and nominate Brian Swinburne (in cc) as the UK expert to work on them.  Feel free to contact him if you have any queries - he is actually the UK delegate to SC14/WG3 and, like Andre, works for Airbus.
