[Moims-mp] MPS Magenta Book first draft including updated diagrams

Dear all,

I have provided a first draft of the MPS Magenta Book on the Information Model, which can be found on the GDrive here<https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vf9Hf4y3laI0A7_e0FtGFB9KOiwUF09F?usp=drive_link>. It includes the following:


  1.  The starting point has been the latest Blue Book (publication issue)
  2.  The sections not relevant to the Magenta Book (e.g. Services and File Formats) have been removed
  3.  Roger's additional text from his draft issue of the Magenta Book has been included
  4.  The UML diagrams have been updated as agreed by the WG during the CCSDS Fall Meeting
  5.  Tables have been added for describing the detailed state transitions
  6.  An example table of the services mapping has been added (as an option)

Please note that most of the text is available and in pretty good shape. However, I still need to do another iteration on it, to rephrase/improve some text parts.

I invite you to have a look at the current draft, in particular to section 3. You could focus on the following issues:


  1.  Are the UML diagrams better readable and understandable this way? Any suggestions for improvements?
  2.  Are the detailed state tables useful? Any suggestions?
  3.  Is the example table (3-2) on the services mapping useful? Or should it be taken out?

Section 4 of the document (Use Cases) is still to be written. I depend on your inputs here, see the document "Section 4 use cases" on the GDrive.

We can discuss the Magenta Book during the WG meeting next week Tuesday.
