[Moims-mp] Planning of the CCSDS Fall Meetings from 15-19 September in Hamburg

Peter,

I wanted to make the working group aware of my current situation, which unfortunately adds a lot of uncertainty to my participation for the upcoming meeting. I will be leaving NASA-JPL this Thursday and will be moving back to my hometown of Austin, TX to work for Firefly Aerospace as their ground system manager. This was an incredibly difficult decision primarily driven by the desire to be closer to family.

I have spoken to the CCSDS secretariat, and it is possible that I can maintain my position if Firefly is willing to pay for my time and travel. However, I will not know whether this is possible until I begin work in mid-August. In the meantime, we are looking for someone at JPL who can join our working group more regularly so that JPL continues to have participation in the development of our standards.

In order to prepare for the CCSDS Fall Meetings in Hamburg, in case you intend to participate, could you please let me know:


  *   If you will join in person or remote
  *   If you will join for the whole week or for a limited number of days
  *   If you have any specific constraints for the week

In principle we could meet all week, but as usual the Monday morning is reserved for the CCSDS plenary and on Friday afternoon we will have the MOIMS plenary.

This time there will be a “Standards for Interoperability Workshop” on the Monday afternoon. I will consider this in our agenda, such that people can join this workshop if they prefer.
