Minutes
1. Prototyping Status
It has been agreed to split the Yellow Book into two volumes, one for Services and one for File Formats testing. This will make the concurrent editing of the YBs easier.
1a - Services
DLR: waiting for update of the YB and XL tables from Guillermo
ESOC: not present, no update
Yellow Book: Guillermo will now have time to work on the updates
1b - File Formats
Quinten provided a systematic analysis of the Blue Book data types, reported in a table (provided to the WG per email).
Quinten also provided a draft Yellow Book on the File Formats and Data Types testing, including some of the detailed test cases (also provided to the WG per email).
When the document is more mature, it should be stored on the GDrive. The WG is invited to provide any comments on the draft YB, in particular on the testing approach.
2. Blue Book CESG Feedback
It was agreed to offload the current section 3 of the Blue Book into a new Magenta Book. Only the tables with the data types and attributes will also remain in the Blue Book.
Because of the "reference" nature of the IM tables, the Blue Book will be reorganised with the Services as section 3 and Information model as section 4.
Peter will initiate a new Magenta Book project for the MP&S Information Model. In addition, for the update of the Green Book (5 years revision), a project should be started in CWE.
Roger has collected the comments from the CESG review of the Blue Book in a spreadsheet and has provided his suggested responses.
Peter will provide additional inputs. There will be a coordination meeting between Roger and Peter next week before the formal response to the CESG will be send.
Roger will continue with the already agreed Blue Book updates. Once the CESG comments have been dispositioned, the Blue Book can be finalised for AR and the CESG poll completed.
The provision of the Blue Book for Agencies Review should be pursued in the short term, such that the feedback can be discussed during the CCSDS Spring Meeting in Washington.
3. AOB
Next WG meeting will take place on Wednesday 7 February at 16:00, Peter to send the invite. It is the intention to have a short prototyping meeting in advance, for example on Monday 5/2 or Tuesday 6/2. Peter to contact Dominik for the organisation.
Best regards,
Peter
