Dear all,
I would like to let you know that the CMC Polling on the release of XFDU as
BB is closing on Friday 25th September 2008.

8 agencies have voted positively (CSA, CNSA and FSA are still missing, but no
vote implies adoption)

The CCSDS Management Council,

CONSIDERING that the draft Recommended Standard for XML Formatted Data Unit
(XFDU) Structure and Construction Rules (CCSDS 661.0-R-1) has completed
formal CCSDS Agency Review,

and RECOGNIZING that the Mission Operations and Information Management
Services Area has recommended that the document be published as a Recommended
Standard (CESG AR-2008-07-002),

and ACKNOWLEDGING that the CESG has conducted a final review of the document
and associated materials (CESG AR-2008-07-002) and that comments received in
the course of that review have been addressed to the satisfaction of the
comment originators,

AUTHORIZES release of a new CCSDS Blue Book, CCSDS 661.0-B-1, XML Formatted
Data Unit (XFDU) Structure and Construction Rules.
