Nestor,

I agree with John Garrett's response.  These documents are in use
and there is no a priori reason to give them an early designation
as 'historical'.  For example, they will be part of NSSDC's
Archival Information Packages for the forseable future, even if
we adopt a new packaging structure for newer arriving data.

We should, therefore, reject the notion to do any type of further
analysis on their usefulness on some pre-defined schedule, apart from the 
usual 5-year review for ISO documents.  It would be a waste of
time and effort, especially to make this a 'charter issue'. I
believe Claude's response is also consistent with this approach.

For your response, I would suggest pointing out that these standards
are being used and will be over at least the next five years.
Therefore the analysis has already been done and they should
come up again for review in the normal 5-year review cycle.
