I didn’t make it to the IIPC meeting in Croatia (a few weeks ago) but the IIPC Preservation Working Group (PWG) sent this interesting email afterwards.  The second link on SIP in Web Archives seems to muse about reconciling WARC formats with OAIS constructs (SIP/AIP/DIP).  Not sure what conclusions, if any, were drawn.  

 

Seems to me that in some form the Web Archiving user should be one of our OAIS-IF use cases.

At our meeting at Zagreb we talked basically about to topics Emulation (slides: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1bVT-s8rbfGwHFsy-k05yrWxqQKhUfHN-) and SIP in web archives (slides: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Qnl1y5UDHww75VrxUui12PmCMsvoe_J9).

 

For the second topic we thought it would be helpful to have an overview of how it is done in the member web archives. See my mail to the IIPC mailing list. The results should go in the folder https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1YubjsrrQZ1rjy0quzjPbaZ2FkmqaD6IF?usp=sharing. Please add your descriptions as well.

 

Although this topic will continue, the regular calls will not. There were less and less participants in the last months and even the SIP topic is not enough to justify regular calls. So the PWG still exists, but will be active only on this mailing list - for now.
