Hi,
this one requires a bit more explanation from our side.
We have thoroughly analysed the use of the terms of Submission Agreement
and Order Agreement in the OAIS textual descriptions.
We have decided to stick to these terms, where they alread exist and have
only slightly extended the texutal descriptions in various places suggesting
related Schematas tot he Submission Agreement and Order Agreement as
discussed in Rome.
Therefore, the following submissions for changes will be processed by us.
(changes in yellow).
Best regards
Matthias

Betreff: AW: RID 50
Submission Agreement: The agreement reached between an OAIS and the Producer
that specifies a data model, and any other arrangements needed, for the Data
Submission Session. This data model identifies format/contents and the
logical constructs used by the Producer and how they are represented on each
media delivery or in a telecommunication session. The data model will be
specified in a Submission Information Schema (SIS).
Order Agreement: An agreement between the OAIS and the Consumer in which the
physical details of the delivery, such as media type and format of Data, are
specified. This information will be detailed in a Dissemination Information
Schema (DIS).
Submission Information Schema
The Submission Information Schema formally defines the digital information
objects to be transferred by an information Producer to an Archive and how
these objects are packed in the form of Submission Information Packages
(SIPs). This supports effective transfer and validation of SIP data. This
formal definition is a negotiated agreement between the data Producer and
the Archive that facilitate production of agreed data by the Producer and
validation of received data by the Archive. It does not address the actual
transfer of a SIP nor how the Archive does validation upon the received SIP.
The extent of such validation will depend on the level of validation
required by the Producer-Archive Project.
Dissemination Information Schema
The Dissemination Information Schema formally defines the digital
information objects to be transferred by an Archive to a Consumer and how
these objects are packed in the form of Dissemination Information Packages
(DIPs). This supports effective transfer and validation of DIP data. This
formal definition is a negotiated agreement between the data Producer and
the Archive that facilitate production of agreed data by the archive. It
does not address the actual transfer of a DIP.
Grüße
Felix
