CSTSWG colleagues ---

I have uploaded an updated draft (W-0.10) of the Monitored Data CSTS
specification to the CWE at URL

http://cwe.ccsds.org/css/docs/CSS-CSTS/CWE%20Private/Future%20Services%2
0using%20Toolkit/MonitoredDataCSTS/MonitoredDataCSTS_W-0.10.doc

(also available via http://tinyurl.com/MD-CSTS-W-0-10)

The update reflects the changes discussed and agreed in Noordwijk. A
major change (at least in an overall editorial sense) is the
re-organization of section 2 (Overview) to simplify the presentation of
the material and collect similar material in common subsections (NOTE -
this new organization is now reflected in the Guidelines for the content
and organization of section 2 of CSTS specifications).

Another change is the removal of requirements for the syntax of
functional resource identifiers and fully qualified names. As discussed
in Noordwijk, it is premature to require that all fully qualified names
follow a single syntax, and may unnecessarily constrain the use of the
MD-CSTS service in some future application. Rather, the definition of
the syntax is now deferred to the (planned) CCSDS standard "Monitored
Data for Space Communication Services" (working title) Recommended
Standard.

Please note that although change tracking was enabled, not all of the
changes were tracked. This was especially true for the reorganization of
section 2, where the changes were so extensive that they made the change
markings more troublesome than helpful. For most review purposes, it is
probably best to view and/or print the document in Final form.

Best regards,

John
