[CMC] BETA Test for the New CCSDS Polling System

Dear CMC and CESG Members,

Thank you for your feedback so far. We've been able to identify a couple areas for improvement that our initial testing didn't notice. If you haven't already done so, please take a moment to review the polling system. Our intention is to conclude this testing period this Friday, 4 February. We will implement some improvements before deploying the new system shortly.

The Secretariat IT Staff has developed a new CCSDS Polling System for your review. Please take a look and try responding to the test polls we have set up. Keep in mind that the CMC can only vote on CMC polls and the CESG on CESG polls, but you can view the polls for both groups at:

These are only test polls. To vote for active polls you still need to visit https://public.ccsds.org/polls/SitePages/Home.aspx.

The user interface is very similar to the previous system, but we have attached user guides for casting your votes. We have also included a "What's New" guide highlighting the improvements in this BETA system. We recognize that some of the requested features for the polling system have not been fully realized in this release. We have recorded all requested features and added them to our development queue for implementation in the future.

We would like CMC and CESG members to review the system by 2/4/2022. If you have any feedback, difficulties, or questions about the system, don't hesitate to contact the Secretariat directly at secretariat at mailman.ccsds.org<mailto:secretariat at mailman.ccsds.org> or respond to this message. During and immediately after this test period we will be addressing your feedback and we will deploy the new system following this test.
