[CMC] Dates for the spring 2020 CCSDS Technical and CESG Meetings

Dear Shigeta-san,

Thank you for graciously acquiescing on the subject of the dates for spring 2020 CCSDS Technical Meetings. We have already reviewed the dates of Japan's Golden Week in 2021 and will do our utmost to avoid inconveniencing JAXA and other Japanese CCSDS participants in a similar way. On behalf of the Secretariat, I thank you for your continued efforts encouraging participation in CCSDS throughout Japan.

NASA will move forward planning the spring 2020 CCSDS Technical Meetings for 4-8 May, 2020 and report to the CCSDS community when we have finalized the dates.

Dear Michael,

May 1st is a public holiday in most of the European  countries, therefore it would be preferable not to hold the Technical Meetings during that week.

I am aware of the constraints  about  the other options, but, please, see if that can be considered.

Thank you all for your responses regarding the 4-8 May dates for the spring 2020 CCSDS Meetings. Although our plans have not changed at this time, NASA is also considering the dates of 27 April – 1 May 2019 for the technical meetings, with the CESG meeting on Monday, 4 May.

If you would, please inform me of any potentials conflicts with these dates (27 April – 4 May) by next Thursday, 18 July 2019.

Dear CMC Members,

NASA has arranged to host the spring 2020 Technical and CESG Meetings in Huntsville, Alabama at the Westin Huntsville Hotel. The proposed dates for the meetings are 4-8 May 2020 (5-day technical meetings) followed by the CESG meeting on Monday, 11 May 2020. Please let me know of any potential conflicts with these dates by Thursday, 4 July 2019.

I have attached a presentation created by Rodney Grubbs with information about the meeting venue, the surrounding area, and the Huntsville airport.

A block of 75 rooms at the Westin Huntsville will be reserved at a reduced rate for meeting attendees.
