Dear CMC colleagues,
On behalf of James, Jean-Marc and myself, please find attached the
consolidated comments of CMC to the online Strategic Plan in the format
proposed by CESG;
I am also attaching for convenience the Strategic Plan word file extracted
from the on-line version with marked-up comments on the general part of
the Strategic plan only (a subset of the comments).
The comments file includes comments from NASA, CNES, DLR, JAXA and ESA,
all numbered. All comments have been kept (except a comment from Jaxa on
the Optical Comms WG that we propose to be discussed during the SLS area
presentations) but overlapping comments have been merged.
If there are no objections raised by CMC members by Monday noon CET I will
submit this input to CESG.and close action CMC-A-2014-11-14

Dear CMC colleagues,
I have staretd reviewing the CCSDS Strategic Plan, but the online version
is for me difficult to read and make comments and there is not printable
version provided in the CCSDS portal. Therefore I have asked my assistant
Lydia Betz to extract a readable and manageable document out of the online
version, and I am attaching it below for your convenience, in case you
have the same difficulties with the online version as I have.
For the review I advice you to focus on the CCSDS Area Objectives &
Goals, and the associated workplan which is the part updated by the Area
Directors, and the consistency between these area goals and the CCSDS
Technical Strategic Goals. Of course you are welcome to review any other
parts of the CCSDS Strategic Plan as well.
Nestor is asking CMC to review also the WG Charters, however I have to
point out that this is not part of the action CMC-A-2014-11-14.
I may remind you to submit your comments to the secretariat with copy to
James, Jean-Marc and myself by 26 October cob (I am extending the
deadline to Monday)
Those of you not intending to send comments please let me know so that we
do not wait in vane for your input.
Looking forward to seeing you all in darmstadt.

Dear CMC colleagues,
further to the reminder of nestor, I also want to point out that this is
part of an action on CMC members agreed in Nagano
CMC-A-2014-11-14 " The CMC was asked to review the CESG input from Action
Item CMC-A-2014-11-13 from 12 ? 26 October 2015 and provide comments to
the Secretariat with a copy to Juan Miro, Jean-Marc Soula, and James
Afarin.
So please, do not send inputs directly to CESG, but submit them to the
secretariat with copy to James, Jean-Marc and myself by 24 October (so
that we can compile CMC comments to CESG by 30 October.
@James, Jean-Marc: can we have a webex/telecon on 27 Oct 14:00 h CET to
consolidate the comments?

herewith I would like to request to the CMC , on behalf of the CESG, to
start the review of
1. CWE On-line Strategic Plan
2. WG Charters
3. Published BBs, MBs, OBs and GBs
4. Approved Projects
5. Draft Projects
CESG is expecting a set of consolidated CMC comments (and not individual
and asynchronous Agency comments) at the latest by 30th October 2015 cob
This will give us a week to analyse the comments, such that they can be
discussed at WG and Area level during the Technical Meetings (9th - 12th
Nov) and at CESG level on 13th Nov.
@ ADs/DADs/WG Chairs/ WG Deputy Chairs : As CESG Chair, I would like to
ask everybody not to update any information in the CWE Management
Framework during Oct 2015
