Hosted by NASA, the CCSDS Spring 2009 meeting
series will again be held at the Penrose House
in
<http://www.experiencecoloradosprings.com/>Colorado
Springs, Colorado, USA. The main technical
meeting series will be held from April 20-25 2009
followed by the management meetings which will be
held from April 27-April 30 2009.

Full registration information is available at
<http://public.ccsds.org/meetings/2009Spring/default.aspx>http://public.ccsds.org/meetings/2009Spring/default.aspx.
Please check back frequently for updates as the
detailed meeting agendas are developed.

As always, registration is free and attendance is
open, but delegates to CCSDS working groups must
be approved by their respective CCSDS space
agency representatives. Interested observers
from other organizations - who have cleared their
attendance with their national space agency - are
also welcome. Please visit
<http://public.ccsds.org/participation/member_agencies.aspx>http://public.ccsds.org/participation/member_agencies.aspx
if you need to contact your sponsoring agency for approval to participate.

Once approved by your agency, the principal
requirement for participating is that you must
register and must indicate precisely which
meetings you wish to attend. Please register
on-line at
<http://public.ccsds.org/meetings/2009Spring/2009SpringReg.aspx>http://public.ccsds.org/meetings/2009Spring/2009SpringReg.aspx.

While registration at this CCSDS meeting is free
YOU MUST REGISTER in order to attend any of the
meetings. Total attendance is limited by the size
of the facility and late registrants cannot be guaranteed a place.

You are also strongly urged to make your travel
arrangements – especially hotel reservations - as
soon as possible. Participants will be
responsible for their own hotel reservations and
there is a list of nearby hotels on the meeting information site.

Unfortunately, recent legislation imposed on NASA
means that at this time NASA cannot provide food
for attendees with NASA funding. Arrangements
have been made for you to purchase coffee, snacks
and lunches at the meeting site for $17.00USD per
day. Please note that there are no other lunch
options nearby, so to keep meetings from being
disrupted, we encourage all attendees to sign up
to purchase the on-site lunches and associated
refreshments. To help us with projecting lunch
needs, please select the lunch options on the registration site.

SPECIAL NOTE FOR WORKING GROUP TECHNICAL EDITORS
– TOM GANNETT WILL BE FACILITATING A SPECIAL
“BOOT CAMP” ON EDITING REQUIREMENTS: SESSIONS
WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY 24 APRIL AND SATURDAY 25
APRIL. ALL TECHNICAL EDITORS ARE EXPECTED TO
ATTEND ONE OF THESE SESSIONS AND ALL OTHERS ARE
ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE AS WELL.

Best regards
Adrian
