CMC E-Poll Identifier: CMC-P-2008-06-001
Authorization to Release Orbit Data Messages Pink Book for CCSDS Agency Review

Results of CMC poll beginning 11 June 2008 and ending 2 July 2008:

                 ADOPT: 8 (88.89%) (ASI, BNSC,
CNES, CSA, DLR, ESA, JAXA, NASA)
   ADOPT PROVISIONALLY: 1 (11.11%) (INPE)
                REJECT: 0 (0%)
  REJECT WITH COMMENTS: 0 (0%)

INPE: The vote is certainly an ADOPT.
Therefore, this coment is not a condition. It is
a reminding and updating comment, only. I take
the opportunity to remind that based on our
previous joint agreement with ISO/TC20/SC14
Subcommittee, by means of document (letter)
N404/N529, as of August 2007, jointly addressed
by ISO/TC20/SC13 and SC14 to Mr. François Abram,
of ISO Central office, it is expected that the
corresponding document which will result in
Recommendation CCSDS 502.0-B-2 may enter, in a
very first opportunity, in the appropriate ISO
track for documentation in development, under the
number (ISO) 26900, to be registered as an item
of the ISO/TC20/SC14 technical programme, in
explicit cooperation with CCSDS NAV WG and
ISO/TC20/SC13. This new, (ISO) 26900 item is
being portrayed by ISO as a review of the ISO
22644 ISO/TC20/SC14 (repeating, SC14) working
item, existing previously to the mentioned joint
agreement terms (N404/N529 and N405/N530, also of
Aug. 2007). It is being advised that David S.
Berry, Chairman of CCSDS/MOIMS NAVWG may be
consulted as part of this process, because the
next, subsequent to the current, closing one,
review of the ODM document is being expected to
be jointly, formally executed between CCSDS NAVWG
and ISO/TC20/SC14/WG3, Chaired by Dr. David
Finkleman. Clear directions are expected from the
part of ISO/TC20/SC14 that will enable the
involved parties to instrument the actual terms
and procedures that will direct this subsequent,
joint, formal review of the ODM document among
the involved parties. This will be a first
experience derived from the on going above
mentioned CCSDS-SC13-SC14 previous agreement. It
is also expected that Mr. François Abram, from
ISO Central Office may be kept informed on this
process, for his follow-up, due to his
instrumental contribution that led to this joint CCSDS-SC13-SC14 agreement.
