Dear Adrian,


In attention to your both, previous requests, after review, INPE expresses its
preliminary accordance to the current terms to:

1)Strategic Plan of CCSDS (CCSDS A01.1-Y-2, Draft 3, Apr. 23,2004);

2)Operating Plan for Standards Development for the CCSDS (A01.2-Y-2)

in preparation for their approval in the coming CMC Montreal meeting, when
possible comments will be possibly addressed, to both documents.

In respect to the third item being requested, the Resource Matrix, a
preliminary version is appended to this current message. Unfortunately, due to
the many contacts and pending responses involved, it was not possible to close
the items which are under consideration, to be filled, as it is indicated in
the current version of the matrix.

Many thanks to Loredana Bruca for sending back the completed ASI resource
matrix. 

As a reminder, on 23 April you were all asked to provide this information for
your Agency by end of day on this upcoming Wednesday, 05 May. This is really
important so that the Area Directors can go into the Spring 2004 meeting with
a good knowledge of the support that they can expect.

Here again is a summary of what you were respectfully asked to do:

1.  REVIEW THE DRAFT CCSDS STRATEGIC PLAN AND BE PREPARED TO APPROVE IT IN
MONTREAL.

2.   REVIEW THE DRAFT CCSDS OPERATING PLAN AND BE PREPARED TO APPROVE IT IN
MONTREAL.

3.   FILL-OUT AND RETURN THE  RESOURCE MATRIX FOR YOUR AGENCY,
      NO LATER THAN CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON WEDNESDAY, 05 MAY 2004.
