Dear all,

Please find below a summary of yesterday's telecon. Feel free to indicate
any comments/ corrections.

1.	CCSDS @ Improving the Nation's Cybersecurity - an Open Forum: CCSDS
has been invited to speak at the forum - final format TBC. Howie Weiss is a
good candidate to represent CCSDS. Tim is already in discussion with him.
Key messages of the presentation/ talk will be iterated with the CESG
(Action Tim)
2.	Collaboration with PNT community: The CESG plans to propose two
sessions with the PNT community during the Spring Meetings. One technical
session during the week of the technical meetings, preferably Wednesday. A
second one as part of the CESG meetings, with invitation to Sheryl Gramling
and her team. To be coordinated with Sami/ CMC. To aspects to be worked out
during these meetings: a/ How can CCSDS function as a standardisation body
for the existing CCSDS technical community? b/ What are the synergies
between communication and PNT standards and what would be the best setup to
address them?
3.	CCSDS Technical Editor Issue: Amber confirmed that a technical
editor team is being identified and should be ready to fully take on the
editor duties from the Spring Meeting. In preparation for this Amber will
organise a meeting on 6 May (TBC) with the editor team and the CESG to
address key issues already before the Spring Meetings: a/ Highest priorities
for document to be published and to be issued for agency review (Action:
Each AD to prepare this list for their area) b/ Format and content of the
technical editor bootcamp with the objective to generally educate editors
better and ensure higher quality of documents before they are submitted to
the technical editor team. One idea is the split the bootcamp into two
sessions 1/ Essentials for a wider audience 2/ advanced for the technical
editor crowd and c/ Can we at least partly automate the document submission
process and editor queue? What tools are available for that?
4.	Spring Meetings Organisation: Amber confirmed that the meeting
facilities have been selected and are fully sized and equipped to host the
meetings. No special security access is needed beyond some basic information
to be provided at the time of registration. Amber also confirmed that most
inputs from the working groups regarding the planning for the week have been
received and processed. Amber will reach out to the rest. (Action: Amber to
organise a meeting with Tim and Daniel to schedule).
5.	Structure for opening plenary: AD presentations should be shorter
and crisper, highlighting key items and challenges for the area to be
addressed during the week. (Action: Tim and Daniel to propose a "template"
for this new format). Additional ideas for "keynote" presentation to be
collected (Action all to provide suggestions, please by end of April latest)
and then the morning session will be structured accordingly. It was agreed
that the area plenaries will be optional and not scheduled directly
following the opening plenary (instead this slot will go to the first part
of the bootcamp).
6.	Preliminary publication of documents: It was agreed to explore in
the Spring CESG meetings ways how documents under preparation can be made
available in a draft format earlier to the user communities. In particular
(a) Documents that are under draft and where the respective working group
thinks that public access is beneficial (b) documents that are
"content-complete".. meaning finalised after AR and ready for publication
but not yet in final editing and publication queues.
7.	Another (short) CESG checkup meeting before the Spring meetings is
scheduled for 3rd June.

Please let me know in case I forgot something.

Cheers
Daniel
