Apologies, I tried to do a copy / paste of some text, but Outlook took that as a "send".

Edits inserted below to complete the thoughts.

Subject: Re: [EXTERNAL] Presentation from yesterday's CESG Telecon

Dear Margherita, et al,

I have uploaded the presentation that I talked to yesterday. The way I described it, briefly, is this:

"Documents the history of issues encountered in providing adequate and balanced support for AOS and USLP encoding, forward and return, dating from 1989 to the present. Requests an across the board policy clarification within SLS."

The request made during the telecon was not just to document the approach taken to date, which is what has landed us in this unbalanced situation we are in today. Gilles asserted that SLS C&S WG already had documented their plan to address these concerns. The request was that he provide the documentation to demonstrate that the SLS "policy", or "objectives", were in place to provide the sort of adequate and balanced coverage for AOS and USLP forward encoding in order to meet the sort of even-handed "ACAMAD" approach that seems to be being promoted for DVB-S2.

Best regards, Peter

Peter, Gilles,

please upload your presentation given at yesterday's CESG Telecon to the following folder:

https://cwe.ccsds.org/cesg/docs/CWE%20Private/Meetings/2020%20CESG%20Teleconf%2010th%20March

The outcome of the discussion was that Gilles produces a text to describes the approach taken by the C&S Working Group re. the three coding books.

@ Gilles, also please list ( as references) the papers/docs produced by the WG on this topic ( e.g. Concept Paper, Magenta Book about mission profiles, etc.).

Thanks, kind regards,
Margherita
