[CESG] SLS position for V.Vorontsov Technical Note, Orange Book CCSDS 551.1-O-1 «Correlated Data Generation»

Nstor,
        here is SLS position as per your request.

SLS Area considering that creation of a new Blue Book (either from scratch 
of converting/improving an existing orange book) depends on Agencies and 
not on CESGers and WG Chairs can only recommend that the proposed "
Development of technology for improving data reliability described in 
Orange Book CCSDS 551.1-O-1 «Correlated Data Generation»"  be performed as 
new version of   CCSDS 551.1-O.

With respect to the involvement of SLS Area in this activity it shall be 
remarked that  TM Coding is mentioned in the Technical Note mainly to 
remember that TM Coding techniques use "data redundancy requiring a large 
capacity growth of the communication channel" and are then "ineffective" 
in the scenarios considered by Orange Book CCSDS 551.1-O that specifies 
correlation of  data acquired via diverse channels .
