Hi Gippo,
I think it's the same issue regardless of which word you choose. What is planned / proposed as goals is not necessarily exactly what was the outcome. For example:
SAWG
Goal: Reach agreement on forward plan for MB and GB
Achievement: Agree to create a resolution to produce only a GB, based on analysis of the actual MOIMS & SOIS materials and the available resources.
I don't think it makes much different whether you call these status bullets or achievements, they are the result of the work (actual outcome) and not the plan for the work (Goals). If I am operating in some well organized production process where I have a lot of control over guidance and resources then I hope that my goals and my outcomes are well aligned. In a technology development process, which our work resembles, this connection can be less predictable. In a science process even more so. In our consensus based process, where we do not have as much control over guidance or resources the outcomes may be distinctly different from the planned goals.
At least that is my experience of the process. Perhaps yours differs.
Peter

Peter I did not say there was repetition between goals and achievements but rather between goals and status bullets.

I know we discussed this, but do not recall quite that conclusion. My recollection is the following:
Goals: We plan during the meeting to do xyz
Achievements: We actually did pqr
It is not necessarily the case the xyz == pqr, either in type nor in breadth or specificity of content. Therefore I think having them both still is of value, even if in many case they are, in fact, directly related.

The point was that goals finished on being a subset of the status bullets; i.e. the presentation we had were basically saying
We had goal 1
We discussed goal 1
Fast reply 😊

Gippo,
I do remember you requested the goals to be removed, but I do not recall the rationale. Can you offer a rationale? It strikes me as rather odd to be reporting to management and not indicate what the goals for the last meeting cycle were and whether or not they have been met.
I do agree with the clarification between resolutions from the meetings vs. those upcoming in the next 6 months.
Nestor,
I have no significant issues with the format.
Best regards,
-Erik

My proposal as mentioned in Rome is:
Slide 2:
Remove goals
For "Working Group Status" change description to e.g.: [Progress Summary, Activity performed in this meeting (maximum 2 or 3 lines of text per bullet)]
Move "Achievements" from slide 3 to slide 2
Have items in this sequence: "Working Group Status" + "Interaction with other WGs" + "Achievements" + "Problems and Issues"
Slide 3
Move "Achievements" from slide 3 to slide 2
Change from "Resolutions expected in the next 6 months" to e.g. "Resolutions in this meeting and till next meeting" (just to avoid that somebody thinks that a resolution finalized in the meeting shall be not be listed :o)
Best regards
Gippo

Dear all,
following a "salami technique" approach,
please find attached an updated WG report template for your review
Let me have your comments by Friday 4th Nov 2016 cob. No comments by then implies you are happy with the updated template.
I will then produce a new version and distribute it to all WG Chairs for further comments
Once the cycle is finished I will continue with the Area report template
