This comes as a shock, but not a surprise.  Adrian was a guiding light in CCSDS and  elsewhere in the US and international space community.   His passing is a loss for us all and he will be missed.

Dear all,

With a deep sorrow I have to inform you that Adrian Hooke passed away this past weekend.  Adrian was truly the father of the space communication standards who cannot be replaced.  His wisdom and no non-sense approach to resolving issues will be sorely missed.  I personally will miss his mentoring and his guidance.

I do not know of any arrangements for him at this time and will pass along any information as soon as I receive them.
