Dear Mike and All,
concerning   CMC-A-2010-11-05 ,  I provide herewith the paper produced by the CSS-CSTS Working Group to fulfil this action about File Transfer scenarios.

The paper provides :

- in Paragraph  1 :  the use cases selection for file transfer, as gathered from all Agencies
- in Paragraph 2:  the file transfer features to be standardised (things like data contents, annotations, file building instructions, file transfer protocol and profile, etc)
- in Paragraph 3 and 4 : a preliminary assessment of such features for two sample file types

The aim of this paper is limited to defining the scope of a future file transfer standardisation activity.  The paper can be seen as a "matrix"  to be used by the Agencies for defining their standardisation requirements for each file transfer type.

At the moment there is no chartered file transfer activity to the Working Group ( or to the Area).

CESG Chairs and members:  In a secretariat telecon this morning, we concluded that we needed send a friendly reminder to the CESG concerning action items that are in the current CMC action item list.  The total list is attached.  Below, I have listed the CESG actions with a "one-line summary" of the actions.

CESG action items to the CMC:

CMC-A-2010-11-02          Fix the ICPA for baselining.  Action: CESG Chairs

CMC-A-2010-11-05          M. di Giulo will gather use-cases for File Transfer scenarios   Action: M. di Giulo

CMC-A-2011-11-04          CESG will assign WG members as SC 13 liaisons   Action: CESG

CMC-A-2012-04-02          CESG to convene a "one-meeting SIG" on application level middleware (DEM/PUS/SM&C)

CMC-A-2012-04-03          CESG to draft the communiqué to ITU on Leap Seconds.   Action: CESG

CMC-A-2012-04-07          CESG to update the Strategic Plan.   Action: CESG

CMC-A-2012-04-08          The Secretariat to update the Framework Resource View presentation and forward to the CESG
CMC-A-2012-04-09          The CESG to send the Resources PPT to WG chairs with instructions to fill out the online resources data

(Per email from Nestor, Kearney will do both of those last two actions)

Most of those due dates for these actions are for the Fall meeting or Fall CMC telecon, but the last pair was due to be completed in May.  I am giving the CMC another day to respond to a question concerning it, but I expect to send the Resources PPT directly to the CESG-All (including WG chairs) tomorrow.
