[CESG] CCSDS Liaison Organization review

Area Directors: we have to respond to the following CMC action item by Darmstadt:


CMC-A-2011-11-04


CESG will review SC 13 liaisons to other groups in order to identify appropriate CCSDS individuals with technical expertise to fill the liaison role to the following groups: ISO/TC 46/SC 4 (Technical Interoperability), ISO/TC 46/SC 11 (Archives/Records Management), ISO/TC 211 (Geographic Information/Geomatics), and JTC 1/SC 32 (Data Management and Interchange).

Could you please:


1.      Identify suitable  CCSDS representatives who could be appointed as the CCSDS side of potential liaisons with:

*         ISO/TC 46/SC 4 (Technical Interoperability), http://www.iso.org/iso/iso_technical_committee.html?commid=48798

*         ISO/TC 46/SC 11 (Archives/Records Management), http://www.iso.org/iso/iso_technical_committee?commid=48856

*         ISO/TC 211 (Geographic Information/Geomatics), http://www.isotc211.org/

*         ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 32 (Data Management and Interchange), http://jtc1sc32.org/


2.      Review the current list of Liaisons and identify any that you think should be added.  The list of CCSDS Liaison Organizations is at:  http://public.ccsds.org/participation/liaisons.aspx

Responses are due by the CESG meeting on Friday 20 April. Please include in your reports.
