        INDICATED BELOW.  AREA DIRECTORS AND WORKING GROUP CHAIRS
        RECEIVE THESE ANNOUNCEMENTS AS PART OF NORMAL REVIEW DISTRIBUTION
        PROCEDURES.  NO CESG-SPECIFIC ACTION IS REQUIRED.

The following draft CCSDS Recommendation has been placed on line for CCSDS 
Agency review:

      CCSDS 401.0-R.  Radio Frequency and Modulation SystemsPart 1:
                      Earth Stations and Spacecraft.  Draft loose-leaf
                      insert.  September 2003.

DOCUMENT DESCRIPTION:  This draft recommendation specifies bit-rate ranges 
and modulation for suppressed carrier telecommand systems.  If approved, it 
will be added to the loose-leaf volume, Radio Frequency and Modulation 
Systems--Part 1: Earth Stations and Spacecraft (CCSDS 401.0-B), as 
recommendation 2.2.8.

The due date for receipt of review comments by the Secretariat is 
2003-10-3.  Area Directors and WG/BOF Chairs may submit review comments 
directly to the CCSDS Review Coordinator.  More information is available at
